Kemper House Worthington, Ohio, an advanced long term memory care residence specializing in Alzheimer’s and dementia care in Columbus, Ohio, is excited to be partnering with SMARTfit to help slow the onset of cognitive decline.

Kemper House Worthington, a specialized Alzheimer’s, Dementia Care & Well Living Community, is dedicated to caring for persons living with all stages of memory impairment. Incorporating the latest technological advancements, its care model includes integrated cognitive, emotional, physical, and nutritional health programming based on the philosophy that specialized senior living and Alzheimer’s and Dementia care promote overall health and wellness for both residents and staff.

In early August, Cathi Lamberti, CEO of SMARTfit, accompanied senior trainer TJ Fairchild to install and train the staff on SMARTfit at Kemper House’s new state-of-the-art gym designed specifically to serve its residents.  Cathi and TJ also made themselves available at Kemper House’s open house, demonstrating SMARTfit’s memory and vestibular training programs.

Greg Cini, CEAL, CDP, and President/Owner of Kemper House says, “We’re excited because we’re partnering with SMARTfit as part of our plan to re-define Alzheimer’s and Dementia care not only here in central Ohio but around the nation.”

Kemper House has selected SMARTfit as a flagship offering due to its gamified programming which is demonstrating effectiveness at slowing the progression of cognitive impairment.

“One of the crown jewels of our fitness center is the SMARTfit technology. We know it’s not only going to improve our residents’ cognition; it is also going to improve their health.”

Cathi Lamberti states, “The Kemper House fitness center is specially designed for older adults suffering from cognitive decline and incorporates the most advanced equipment available.  We are excited to be part of this project. I am confident that SMARTfit will not only be effective, but also will prove to be a strong attraction because it is so much fun to do.  Residents will experience SMARTfit as play rather than work, and that will help them to find the fitness center an enjoyable place to be.”
