Functional and Brain Training Programs for Hospitals and Medical Wellness Programs

SMARTfit® has designed a range of functional and brain training solutions for use in hospitals, physical therapy, and occupational therapy environments.

Rehabilitation that includes neuro, cognitive and orthopedic activities for individuals experiencing injury, illness, and disabilities makes SMARTfit® an ideal match for medical wellness programs in hospital environments.

SMARTfit® systems provide rehabilitative activities that can be tailored for individual needs with activities that integrate sensory stimulation with functional skills training.

Using Specialized Training Activities
for Rehabilitation

SMARTfit® activities are designed to offer rehabilitation options for people seeking a return to their highest function following illness, injury, disability, or neurological impairment. SMARTfit functional and brain training focuses on engaging the executive function of the brain to drive controlled functional movements that focus on proprioception.

How SMARTfit® Works in Rehabilitation Environments

Rehabilitation training activities are used to address a wide range of recovery solutions. SMARTfit® utilizes its iOS and Android Apps to allow for precise tailoring of programming to meet each individual’s needs, function, and mobility. Our systems are suitable for outpatient rehabilitation environments as well as for in-patient programs.

Application Companion

SMARTfit® includes an iOS/Android driven App which is used to operate the system giving users access to a comprehensive collection of activities, programs, and training modes to fit a variety of clinical scenarios. Clinicians can choose from and extensive list of pre-designed programs, or, they can create their own programs to suit the specific needs of their patients. The systems extensive data collection feature provides evidence-based graphed data to validate, measure and prove progress. Beth Fisher
“Everything in Parkinson’s research points to the need for combining cognitive challenges with physical activities- I cannot think of a better way to do that than with SMARTfit.”
Professor of Clinical Physical Therapy Director, Neuroplasticity and Imaging Laboratory Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy University of Southern California
Christopher Powers
“SMARTfit takes the focus of the player off the mechanics and moves it to the external, forcing the brain to solve two problems at the same time. It solves the big missing part in rehab because we want carry-over onto the field. SMARTfit is a great tool to test if that is happening. Further studies will help us to measure its full effectiveness.”
USC Professor
Director, Biokinesiology Program
Co-Director, Biomechanics Research Lab
Charles Y. Liu
“I am extremely intrigued and optimistic that SMARTfit will prove to be an exceptionally effective and important tool that combines cognitive and motor training in unique and endless combinations to address a multitude of indications within the athletic and medical realms.”
Professor, Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Biomedical Engineering USC Director, USC Neurorestoration Center
Charles Flowers
“I have been using SMARTfit on patients who have post-concussion syndrome and seeing most of their symptoms completely resolved within 2-3 weeks. I look forward to conducting a formal study to validate my findings.”
Clinical Associate Professor of Opthamology at USC Roski Eye Institute at Keck School of Medicine
Director of Sports Vision Training and Visual Rehab Center at USC Roski Eye Institute
